Gain an understanding of how the human body functions on a biological and physiological level. You’ll use augmented reality technology to virtually explore the human body. Explore how patient care is guided by the best-available information.

Throughout this course, you will learn how the human body functions at a biological and physiological level as well as the core concepts of evidence-based practice. Offering a range of specialisation and elective subjects, this course can be tailored to suit your career goals or prepare you for further study, with units in Digital Health, Complementary Medicine, Public Health, Nutrition, Counselling, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, among others.

Course Entry Requirements

  • Torrens University Australia offers flexible entry options and study pathways, whether you’re finishing school, pursuing career progression or looking for a change. Entry requirements for this course includes:

    • Successful completion of a Higher Education qualification.
    • Year 12 (Australian secondary school certificate) or equivalent.
    • Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above.
  • Standard English language requirements apply.

Course Structure

Recommended study pattern

The correct combination of core and elective subjects needs to be satisfied. This includes 4x core subjects, 1x specialisation subject and 3x elective subjects.

Award requirements

To graduate from this course a student must satisfactorily complete 8 subjects. Each subject is worth 10 credit points for a course total of 80 credit points. A normal full-time study load would see a student complete 80 credit points per year. A year is divided into three trimesters.
